The mission of S.O.S. Caregiver Resource Services is to liberate or "rescue" caregivers from the stresses and uncertainties of caregiving by providing the support and education needed to be knowledgeable, confident and healthy care providers.

You are not alone!

 S.O.S is a System Of Support for anyone caring for another. If you are a family member, friend or neighbor, home health aide, activities assistant, social worker or administrator, we understand the difficulties faced when trying to communicate the needs of the care recipient among various disciplines of care. Crystal Wallace


Crystal is a licensed social worker with a Master of Social Work Degree from Cleveland State University. She is a certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer's and Dementia care Trainer.  Crystal has over 20 years of experience working with older adults and has spent the last 15 years working with older adults with dementiaClick this text to start editing. Co-founder/ Coach/Instructor/Dementia Care Trainer/Consultant

  • Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP)
  • Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners) providing the required seminar for those pursuing certification who qualify as CDP
  • Nearly 20 years experience working with older adults (last 15 years working with older adults with dementia and their caregivers)
  • Lifestyle Wellness Coach (YMCA)
  • Provides & facilitates workshops that include a variety of topics for dementia care and caregiver support in general
  • Caregiver Support Groups
  • Caregiver Stress-Management Workshops 
  • Developed the Caregiver Orientation Program (orients caregivers to services by guiding the development of relationship between the family caregiver and the professional caregiver for increased quality care for the care recipient)
  • First hand caregiver experience by sharing in the care of brother with Downs Syndrome and aging parents with cancer

  • Former Director of Bethel Community Center in Zanesville, Ohio
  • Associate Degree in Medical Assisting from Zane State College
  • Bachelor's in Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS)
  • Twenty years working with individuals who were multi-handicapped
  • Hearing impaired

  • Senior adults with various care needs

  • Local youth center; youth at church
  • Preparing student homework materials in both braille and tactile,
  • Hadley School for the blind
  • First hand caregiver experience (on every level): brother with Downs Syndrome; aging parents with cancer, step-father with COPD
